The Walther P.38, one of the most influential semi-automatic pistol designs of the 20th century. The markings "ac 41" was the secret manufacturer’s code assigned to the Walther factory in Zella-Mehlis, Germany. The 1941 production year is considered a "sweet spot" for quality. Because it was relatively early in the war, the factory had not yet shifted to the "expedient" (simplified) finishes seen in later years. The use of secret codes like "ac" was a central part of the German military's strategy to protect their industrial infrastructure from Allied Bombing.
The Walther P.38 was the standard issue pistol of Germany during WWII and over 1 million until the War ended, then the pistol served in both West and East German police forces. Don't miss your chance to get your hands on this Iconic Pistol!
