Winchester Model 42 – .410 Bore – MFG 1962 – M42 – 410 Gauge

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Winchester Model 42 pump-action shotgun in .410 Bore. Serial number – 161609. This shotgun is in good overall condition for its age with an immaculate bore! Manufactured in 1962. It features a 26" barrel, 3" chamber, 14" length of pull, and a fixed FULL choke.

Built by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company starting in 1933 and produced from 1933 to 1963. First pump-action shotgun designed specifically for the .410 Bore. It was the first .410 shotgun built to handle the 3-inch shell, alongside standard 2.5-inch shells. Production paused during World War II (1943) and ran again from 1947 to 1963.

Designed by William Roemer as a scaled-down version of the iconic Model 12, roughly 164,800 units were made. It is often called "Everybody's Sweetheart" and remains a prized collector's item today.
