For sale is an FN Model 1949 semi-automatic rifle in .308 Win. Serial number- 1735. This rifle is in good condition and comes with a magazine. FN started developing a self-loading rifle prior to WWII as the desire for semi-automatic rifles was increasing amount several world powers. However, the invasion of Belgium by Germany during the beginning of WWII. After the war, FN was ready to release a new rifle very quickly after the war ended.
