$999.00

For sale is a Russian Tula SKS semi-automatic rifle in 7.62×39. Serial number-RH002168. Mfg dated 1953. This rifle is in good condition with a stock repair at the front of the handguard. The bore is in excellent condition with no pitting and it comes equipped with the bayonet. All the Russian serial numbers match throughout the rifle and there is a KBI import stamp on the receiver. This rifle appears to have been re-arsenaled as there is a square with diagonal stamped on the stock and top cover. Included with this rifle is a Tula oil can with pouch, SKS manual (not original), chest rig bandolier, canvas sling, and (16) stripper clips. The firing pin moves back and forth freely in the bolt. Originally, designed in 1943 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. The SKS is a reliable, simply designed, and relatively inexpensive weapon, the SKS was first produced in the Soviet Union but later widely exported and manufactured by various nations. Its distinguishing characteristics include a permanently attached folding bayonet and a hinged, fixed magazine. As the SKS lacked select-fire capability and its magazine was limited to ten rounds, it was rendered obsolete in the Soviet Armed Forces by the introduction of the AK-47 in the 1950s. Nevertheless, SKS carbines continued to see service with the Soviet Border Troops, Internal Troops, and second-line and reserve army units for decades.
