For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand D-Day Commemorative in .30-06 SRNG. Serial number- 7111729. This rifle is in great condition. It comes with a leather sling, M1 Garand clips, cleaning kit, pouches, a wood display case/crate with an illustration. These Rare Commemorative D-Day M1 Garand Rifles were offered by Springfield Armory in 2005. It was a limited run of 1,944. It is marked as number 1895 of 1944 produced, which is obviously a tribute to the year of the Normandy invasion. The op rod is marked 'D-Day Normandy, June 6, 1944'. The right side of the buttstock has been laser etched with the Normandy beach scene, and the left side features a quote from General Eisenhower's speech to the Armed Force.
