Star Pistols have served with distinction throughout the world since the 1920s. In 1983, the Star Model 28 competed favorably against the Beretta M9 for the US Military Contract, claiming its place as one of the original Wonder Nine pistols of the Reagan Era. Similarities with competitor Sig Sauer, Beretta, and Smith & Wesson are all evident. Factory Smith & Wesson magazines, like the one with this one, work just fine so long as the magazine safety has been removed as we have with this one. This is the lightweight variant Model 28 PK served with distinction in the Mishteret Y’Israel, the Israeli Civilian Police in Jerusalem District.
