It is safe in all firearms (in good condition) chambered for this caliber, including the Trapdoor Springfield. It is loaded with the same 300-grain Hornady JHP used in the full-strength 45-70. Velocity is 1,380 FPS from 18″ barrels with a modest pressure of 17.4K. This is new, reloadable Starline brass with Accurate smokeless (non-corrosive) powder and Boxer Primed.
