For sale is a Berthier MLE1890 M16 bolt-action rifle in 8x50Rmm. Serial number- 30273. Used in numerous conflicts, the Berthier MLE M16 was used by cavalry units in need of an easy to wield carbine. It replaced the Model 1907/15 rifles that were being mass produced for the World War I. However, the MLE M16 started reaching front lines late in the war and instead served Frnech Colonial forces around the world during the interwar period and other nations in smaller wars until World War II. It was used from the 1890s until the end of the Second World War. Fed by an en-bloc five-round magazine.
