For sale is a beautiful FN Model 1949 semi-automatic rifle in 7mm Mauser. Serial number- 5046. This rifle is in good condition and comes with a magazine. This rifle is stamped with the Venezuala crest on the chamber as well as the circular "Venezuala" cartouche on the butt stock (very light). This FN is all-matching serials and is in good functioning condition. There is some use wear on the wood, as well a some light scratches. (please see photos for exact condition) FN started developing a self-loading rifle prior to WWII as the desire for semi-automatic rifles was increasing among several world powers. After the war, FN was ready to release a new rifle very quickly after the war ended. Argentina, Belgium, the Belgian Congo, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Luxembourg, and Venezuela purchased and used the rifle during the Post-WWII/Cold War era.
