For sale is a H&R Arms Co. M1 Garand semi automatic rifle in .30-06 SPRG. Serial number- 5661691. This M1 Garand is in great condition and comes with a sling, manual and a Civilian Marksmanship Program certificate of authenticity. Features a circled "P" proof mark on the grip. We believe this M1 was manufactured in 1955-56 due to the date stamping in the bolt. Some collectors consider H&R M1 rifles to be among the best regarding fit, finish, and overall craftsmanship of M1s. Production of the H&R M1 rifles ceased in May 1956, by which time 428,600 rifles had been delivered. The M1 Garand served as the standard-issue rifle of the US military during WWII and the Korean War is more beloved than apple pie in America!
