This was originally an English-made Enfield No4 MK I rifle and converted for sport/hunting. This rifle was most likely manufactured in the late or post-WWII era. The Enfield No4 was the standard issue rifle of the British Empire during WWII. The Enfield and its variants have been produced in several countries, served in 2 world wars, and countless other conflicts during the 20th century.
