For sale is a Marlin Original Golden 39A lever action rifle in .22 S/L/LR. Serial number- 21261383. This 39A is in good condition with some very minor rust/pitting spots and scratches on the barrel (See in Photos). It is equipped with a 20.5 inch micro groove barrel with a very good bore. It also features ready-to-use sling swivels, a leather sling (the sling looks to be wearing out), and a "JM " stamp on the barrel showing it was manufactured by the original Marlin team. We believe the rifle was manufactured in 1979. The Golden Model 39A was introduced in 1939. The Marlin 39A represents the oldest and longest continuously produced shoulder firearm in the world. The Golden 39A has a full-length steel tubular magazine under the barrel with a brass inner tube and a hammer block safety. The Golden 39A is still considered one of the finest examples of a lever .22 rifle, and one of the most accurate .22 rifles ever produced. It is also the best-selling lever rimfire in U.S. history.
