For sale is a FPK Dragunov semi-automatic rifle in 7.62x54r. Serial number- KR00030. It appears all the component Serial numbers match, but not to the frame. This Dragunov is in excellent condition and comes with 3 magazines and an LPS 4×6 TIP2 scope. This rifle is a postban example with a welded muzzle device and no bayonet lug. The PSL was originally developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s to replace the aging World War II vintage BRNO built VZ-24 sniper rifles fielded by the Romanian Army. While somewhat resembling the Soviet SVD in profile, the PSL is no relation. Rather the Romanians designed the PSL around an easy to mass produce RPK (Ruchnoi Pulumet Kalashnikov-Kalashnikov Light Machinegun) receiver. This stamped receiver was simple to manufacture, very light weight, and, best of all, inexpensive. Riveted and spot welded to the left side of the receiver was a 5.75-inch long optics rail. The rail was designed to allow both day and night optics to be easily mounted onto the rifle. Inside, the PSL was straight Kalashnikov with an AK type trigger mechanism, bolt, carrier and recoil spring assembly.
