For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 1000 semi-automatic shotgun in 20ga. Serial number- FB24947. PLEASE NOTE: There is a crack present near the rear end of the stock. This shotgun has a 2 3/4" chamber with an improved cylinder. Here's the reason the Model 1000 performs when other autoloaders fail. The patented internal gas metering system compensates for pressure differences in ammunition to control bolt velocity and minimize stress on the receiver and action. This shotgun was manufactured in the late 70s or early 80s.
