For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 1000 Super 12 semi automatic shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- FC66648. This Model 1000 Super 12 is in great condition and features a 28" barrel with a ventilated rib, an excellent bore and is threaded for chokes. Does not come with any choke tubes. The Smith & Wesson Model 1000 is a semi-automatic shotgun offered in 12 and 20 gauge by Smith & Wesson during the 1970s and 1980s. The Model 1000 was offered by Smith & Wesson from 1973 to 1985. It was subsequently sold by Mossberg for a few additional years. The shotguns were developed and manufactured for S&W in Japan by Howa Machinery. The reason the Model 1000 performs when other autoloaders fail is the patented internal gas metering system that compensates for pressure differences in ammunition to control bolt velocity and minimize stress on the receiver and action.
