The Smith & Wesson Model 17 is a six-shot double-action revolver built on Smith & Wesson's medium-sized K-frame. The Model 17 is a timeless revolver that was often used for competition shooting. The Model 17 was revived by Smith & Wesson in 2009 as the Model 17 Masterpiece (this is not a recontinued revolver).
