For sale is a Winchester Model 70 in .308. Serial number- G1002512. This Winchester is in great condition. This specific variant of the Model 70 was mostly sold overseas and Canadian markets including Italy, Australia and Canada as Mannlicher models. The Mannlicher models’ receivers were hand selected, individually hand assembled, then fitted and stocked with higher quality hand workmanship and finish. These models differ from the generic model 70’s by having bespoke 19″ barrels, no “Carbine” marked barrels, and chambered in one of the four chosen calibers .243, .270, 30-06, and .308. This particular model is the .308 variant which is the rarest of all Mannlicher Model 70’s with only 318 made in .308 from 1968-1971 and this is only 1 of 108 in the United States making this particular rifle one of the rarest model 70s ever produced.
