For sale is an Arisaka Type 38 Long Rifle bolt-action rifle in 6.5mm. Serial number – 52810. This Arisaka has the Japanese Type 38 stamped on the receiver but it has the Chrisanthumum filed off the receiver. Was produced by Kokura Arsenal and the "Kana" found just ahead of the serial indicates the rifle is a series 25. The Type 38 rifle was a bolt-action service rifle used by the Empire of Japan predominantly during the Second Sino-Japanese War and Second World War. The design was adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1905, it was later replaced by the Type 99. However, it continued to see extensive use until the end of WWII. Please see the photos to assess the condition for yourself. There is a lot of wear and tear on this rifle but the bolt and action appear to function without issue.
