FN Browning Model 1922 – .32 ACP – German WWII Stamps

$599.00

For sale is a FN Model 1922 Semi-automatic pistol in .32 ACP/ 7.65 mm. Serial number- 81569. This pistol features a German National Workers Party "Eagle" stamp and German Wehrmacht (WWII Army) stamps. The original Model 1910 was a John Browning design sold to FN in the early 20th century and one was used to assassinate Franz Ferdinand, effectively kicking off the first World War. After the War, the M1910 was updated with a longer barrel and grip and was introduced in 1922 during the interwar years. The Model 1922/Mle 1922 inevitably went to war during World War 2. The Model 1922 saw service with several European countries for military and police use through the end of the war in 1945. In 1939/40, when the German Army kicked out allied forces in Western Europe they had FN continue production of the Model 1922 under military observation. The Model 1922 was named the Pistole 626 b in German service. Please take note of the pictures to assess the condition of the pistol for yourself as there is surface ware. But what doesn't have ware for being around 80 years old? This pistol functions smoothly and would be an amazing piece in anyone's collection. 1910/1922 pistols went on to see extensive service in World War Two, and continued to be manufactured by the Germans after their occupation of Belgium and seizure of the FN factory. These examples carry "Eagle" production stamps, and most have simple checkered wood grips instead of the earlier horn or plastic grips bearing the FN logo.
