For sale is a Gasser-Kropatschek M1876 revolver in 9mm Gasser-Kropatschek. Serial number-158762. This revolver is in good condition. Leopold Gasser designed his namesake revolver which was adopted for use by the Austro-Hungarian military in 1870 and several variants were issued until it was phased out for more modern firearms in 1898. Despite this, the story of the Gasser Revolver is actually more closely associated with the small Kingdom of Montenegro than with Austro-Hungary. This because the Kingdom of Mentenegro spent much of the 2nd half of the 19th Century fighting the Ottoman Empire and issued the Gasser to its military.
