For sale is a Marlin Model 39 Carbine lever action rifle in .22 S/L/LR. Serial number- Z18028. Manufactured in 1964. Only aprox. 9,695 were manufactured from about 1963-'67 making these highly desirable! This 39 Carbine is in good condition and features a 20.25" micro groove barrel and a hammer extension. Also has the "JM" stamp indicating it was made by the original Marlin team. Capable of firing .22 short, long or long rifle rounds. The Model 39 Carbine is a slimmer lighter version of Model 39A. Features slimmer fore-end and thinner barrel. The Marlin Firearms Co. manufactured 12,140 Model 39 Carbines between 1963 and 1967. The Marlin 39 represents the oldest and longest continuously produced shoulder firearm in the world. The model 39 is still considered one of the finest examples of a lever .22 rifle, and one of the most accurate .22 rifles ever produced.
