For sale is a Browning BSS Sporter side-by-side shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- 01970RP358. This shotgun is in great condition as well as the bores and features a 3" chamber, ejectors, 14 1/8" length of pull, and fixed full & modified chokes. There are no cracks in the wood. This was their "Sporter" model with a straight English stock. Assembled in Korea with Japanese components. After running a serial number lookup we've determined this shotgun was manufactured in 1978. The Browning BSS is one of the most solidly built American-style side-by-side shotguns ever to be produced. The production of the BSS side-by-side shotgun began in 1971 (12ga) and 1972 (20ga). The Sidelock model was introduced in 1983. Production ceased in 1987. Please Note: there is a small chip in the butt plate as seen in the pictures. Also, the blueing is faded on most metal surfaces as well as the wood as seen in the pictures, but other than that it is in great condition!
