For sale is an Ithaca Flues Grade 4 side-by-side shotgun in 12ga. Serial number- 273042. This shotgun features beautiful engravings on the receiver and stock, a damascus steel barrel, ejectors, and double triggers. What makes this shotgun special is the custom plaque present under the buttstock that reads, "Presented to Thomas Taylor by A.E. Smith – 1916 -". The plaque and gold finish present on this shotgun look to be an after-market addition to the firearm. PLEASE NOTE: On the left barrel, there is a small dent that can be seen in both the outer and inner bore pictures. There is a crack on the underside of the forend as well. The "4" present on the water table indicates this shotgun is a grade 4. This shotgun is chambered for the 12 gauge 2 3/4" shell but using modern ammunition is not recommended. According to the serial number, this shotgun looks to have been manufactured in 1916.
