For sale is a Colt "The Colt '57" bolt-action rifle in .243 Win. Serial number- A3904. This Colt is in good condition but has lost some bluing and is missing the original sights. The Colt "57" Bolt Action Rifle was manufactured for Colt in 1957 by Jefferson Manufacturing Co. also of Hartford, CT. They made about 5,000 chambered in either .243 or 30-06. And it's basically a Fabrique Nationale (FN) Mauser action, barreled by Jefferson and matched with an American Walnut Monte Carlo Stock. This rifle was "made" by Colt in 1957, however, you can faintly see the Greek Coat of Arms and the original year the receiver which was manufactured in 1930 by FN for Greece.
