For sale is a German Double Garden Gun combination in .22 and 9mm Shot. Garden guns were fairly common for just that purpose, ridding the garden of pests. The 9mm bore is a smoothbore and was a fairly common cartridge back then. The action is known as a "Jones underlever" by most and is a supposed improvement on the French Lefeaucheux action that dates to the 1830s. A crown over "B", "U", and "G" are pretty much standard proofs for rifled firearms from the 1891-93 proof law forward until the 1939 law. A crown over "S" supplants the "G" for shotguns. PLEASE NOTE: We believe that the caliber is 9mm shot/.22 but we are not positive. We took closeups of all markings so please refer to the pictures. There is also some rust present as seen in the pictures.
