Mauser Luger 1938 S/42 – 9mm Matching! Eagle 83 Pre War

Mauser Luger 1938 S/42 – 9mm Matching! Eagle 83 Pre War

For sale is a Mauser Luger semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number-6645d. This pistol is in very good condition and comes with a leather holster and (2) magazines. The chamber is dated "1938", and it has the secret wartime code of "S/42" for the Mauser factory on the front toggle. Multiple German Eagle/63 inspector stamps present as well as an Eagle/83 stamp which is very rare! ALL SNS are matching including the grips! The magazines are the only non-matching Serial Numbers. It is very difficult to find an all-matching luger pistol in this condition! According to Luger, there were many thousands of these pistols produced 1936-1940 with the 1938 date the most scarce. This is an excellent example of an early pre-WWII German Luger pistol manufactured by the Mauser factory. These were the standard service pistols used by all German troops, Wehrmacht, SS, Luftwaffe, and Navy forces during WWII. One of the mags is an original "FXO" P.08 Mauser Luger magazine with a blank baseplate. The other is a Code 122/E37 magazine with an SN base (non-matching) and an "n" suffix. These are fairly scarce/desirable magazines that are period correct.
